Headhunting in the Republic of Kazakhstan is very demanding in terms of culture. The population of Kazakhstan consists of more than 50 ethnic groups, among them, in addition to the Turkic-speaking Kazakhs, there are for example Russians, Uzbeks, Uyghurs, Tatars, Azerbaijanis, as well as Europeans coming from Ukraine, Germany, Poland or Greece and Asian people from Korea or Mongolia. Kazakhstan became a multi-ethnic state because many ethnic groups were forced to settle in Kazakhstan during the Soviet rule.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Kazakhstan declared independence - the country has been a presidential republic since 1995. However, Kazakhstan only ranks 144th out of 167 countries on the international Democracy Index and is therefore classified as an “authoritarian regime”. However, Kazakhstan has also grown to become the economic engine of Central Asia, so that diplomatic and constitutional obligations towards international investors have become increasingly important. Kazakhstan is one of the driving forces in the dialogue for the stabilization of the regions between the Middle East and Central Asia, particularly in the UN Security Council. Kazakhstan is also a member of the Eurasian Economic Area and has been a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) since 2015.

From an economic point of view, the service sector is the most important source of income in Kazakhstan, representing 61 % of the gross domestic product. Oil and gas production as well as oil products and trading of these raw materials constitute the basis of the entire gross domestic product.

As part of the so-called “Kazakhstan 2050” strategy, the Kazakh government wants to push ahead with modernizing the economy, improving the infrastructure and expanding also the research, health and education systems. The aim of this strategy is to reduce the country's dependence on the extraction of raw materials by 2050 and to develop future-oriented economic fields in order to move into the group of the 30 most developed countries in the world.
